OwnrCheck (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates ownrcheck.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

We collect:

• Email address — when you join the waitlist or subscribe to updates.
• Usage data via Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
• Cookieless page statistics via Cloudflare Web Analytics — page views, referring site, country and browser, collected without cookies and without identifying you.

We do not collect names, payment information, or any other personal identifiers.

How we use your data

• To understand which pages and articles are used, so we can improve the site
• To send you product updates and OwnrCheck newsletters, if you signed up

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your email address on the basis of your explicit consent given at the time of sign-up. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing using the link in any email we send.

We use Google Analytics only on the basis of your consent, given through the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings”.

Analytics

Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) runs only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. We have switched off Google signals and ad personalisation, so this data is not used for advertising. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We keep Google Analytics data for no longer than 14 months. You can review Google’s privacy policy here.

Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., which also hosts this website) counts page views without cookies, local storage or fingerprinting. We process this aggregated data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

Email service

Subscriber email addresses are processed by Kit (ConvertKit, Inc.), our email platform. Kit operates under standard contractual clauses for international data transfers. You can review Kit’s privacy policy here.

Data retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time or request deletion by contacting us directly.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl

Cookies

OwnrCheck uses analytics cookies only if you accept them. We do not use advertising cookies.

• _ga and _ga_<ID> (Google Analytics) — distinguish visitors and sessions. Set only after you accept; they expire after up to 2 years.
• oc_consent (stored in your browser, not a cookie) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don’t ask again on every page.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you reject after accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies.
